Why we travel?
"We travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel, next, to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate."
Travel is the best way we have of rescuing the humanity of places and saving them from abstraction and ideology. And in the process, we also get saved from abstraction ourselves and come to see how much we can bring to the places we visit - in transporting back and forth what every culture needs. We carry values and beliefs and news to the places we go. Not the least of the challenges of travel, therefore, is learning how to import - and export - dreams with tenderness. It was when we realized travel is a two-way transaction that our passion for conservation was born.
We love the adventure. We love the nature. We love it Wild.
We love to go to those little corners of the world far from the touristic drag, where remoteness exposes the original way of life. We are thrilled to discover destinations sidestep away from the obvious.
Maria Fernanda or Nanda: From Brazil.
I've always loved to travel and living in Asia allowed me to visit exotic and wild places that were too far away from me when living in South America. Weekends. Long weekends. Prolonged holidays. No matter how many days off we have. We are constantly looking for a remote location to explore.
I also count on a great travel partner. Max, my German husband, has the talent to find unique spots that we are not able to find in travel guides. For us, luxury means something else. We are in search of genuine and unthinkable experiences. And, to immortalize these memories, we both share a passion for photography.
